I have called Austin my home since 1985. After earning a BBA from Texas State University, I began my “first” career as a paralegal with the Department of Justice. I retired in 2009 after 34 years of government service. I have been a real estate agent since then, ultimately earning my Broker’s license in 2015.
My goal is to be a resource and professional guide throughout the real estate process. I strive to communicate and share as much information as possible in order for you to make an informed decision. You will find my dependability, vision, and attention to detail are essential whether buying or selling a home. Did I mention that I love golf? I am an active member at the Lost Creek Country Club, and would love to show you around the Lost Creek neighborhood as well as any other Austin area communities and suburbs as well.
Looking for a new home? Use Quick Search or Map Search to browse an up-to-date database list of all available properties in the area, or use my Dream Home Finder form and I'll conduct a personalized search for you.
If you're planning to sell your home in the next few months, nothing is more important than knowing a fair asking price. I would love to help you with a FREE Market Analysis. I will use comparable sold listings to help you determine the accurate market value of your home.

I can’t imagine anyone I’d rather go house shopping with than Barbara Brown. Her professionalism was obvious at every turn. Unlike other agents I’ve known, she never tried to convince us that a shortcoming was “not that big a deal” or “easy to fix,” Without the slightest sense of pressure, she led us to the perfect house, one that I would have skipped, then went above and beyond to take care of details that would have been a major problem for us to handle from Pennsylvania.
Before we met her, she helped our son-in-law’s parents find and buy an Austin home. She’s become the family real estate agent, and will retain that status as long as she’s in business. But I love the house she steered us to so much that I hope she retires before we leave.--Sharon & Ezra, Feb. 2016
Barbara went well over and above any expectations my wife or I could have had. Her dedication and perseverance made the process simple and rewarding for us. I would recommend her in a heartbeat. She is incredible!-- Jim & Kathy, 2015
Barbara has always provided excellent service as a realtor. This latest experience is no exception. She is very attentive to the details and provides excellent customer service. I look forward to working with her again in the future. -- Paul R., 2015
